Prem Nath Gupta is an industrialist. He has worked as the Secretary of the Management of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMC&H) for over four decades. Only through his sincere efforts DMC&H has achieved the distinction of being a referral institution in the northern region. Under his guidance and dynamic leadership DMC&H grew from strength to strength. He has also been instrumental in setting up a Heart Institute for the benefit of the citizens of Ludhiana.

Rakesh Bharti Mittal is the Vice-Chairman of Bharti Enterprises. Bharti has been at the forefront of technology and has revolutionized telecommunications in India with its world-class products and services. Bharti is engaged in diversified businesses such as Telecom Services, manufacturing and marketing Telephones, Horticulture, Insurance Software, BPO, etc. Rakesh, an electronics engineer, has a rich experience in managing evolving business operations and environments for over 30 years.

Rakesh is a member of Advisory Board of Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology & Management which has been established by Bharti and IIT, Delhi. He is also the member of Advisory Council of IIT Delhi; International Advisory Council of Southern Methodist University (SMU), Dallas, USA; Managing Society and Governing Board of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Board of Governors and Council of the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, and the Board of Governors of the YMCA Institute of Engineering.

He is a life trustee of Bharti Foundation, which has been set up with a vision, “To help the underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential”. Rakesh is the Vice President of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, Ludhiana - a Trust that supports needy and deserving students annually for pursuing education by way of scholarships and awards. He is also the Chairman of the Akshaya Patra Foundation Advisory Board (North India) which runs a midday meal program and the President of Old Students Association, Government College, Ludhiana.

He is a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and has been the Chairman of Northern Regional Council of CII for the year 2004-05.
