Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust instituted the Sat Paul Mittal Award in 1992 in fond memory of its Founder President, Late Shri Sat Paul Mittal, who selflessly worked for the upliftment of the poor. Shri Mittal’s perseverance and zeal in promoting new ideas in population control, world peace and development was recognised by the United Nations, which decorated him with the prestigious United Nations Peace Medal in 1987.
These awards are presented every year to an Individual(s)/Institution(s) to recognize outstanding service to humanity. The Trust presents the awards in two categories :

Sat Paul Mittal National Award (Platinum)

Sat Paul Mittal National Award (Platinum) is given every year to an individual(s) and institution(s) rendering outstanding service to humanity and carries an amount of Rs 5 lacs each. This award category was previously known as Sat Paul Mittal National Award.

Sat Paul Mittal National Award (Gold)

Sat Paul Mittal National Award (Gold) is given every year to an individual(s) and institution(s) rendering outstanding service to humanity and carries an amount of Rs 1 lac each. This award category was previously known as Sat Paul Mittal Appreciation Award.
